The squad supports an Explorer Post for persons 14 to 17 years of age who maintain a minimum average of C in school. The Post is active at SBHS and participation in the post is an excellent community service activity for CASE requirements or to list on a college application. The Post meets on Wednesday and Friday nights and elects its own leadership team. Currently, the President of the post is Brian Low-Beer who is a junior at SBHS. |

The Post has two classes of membership, Class one and Class two.
Class one explorers must be at least 16 years old. Class one explorers, with the required training, can ride in the ambulance until 10 PM on most 911 emergency calls.
Class two explorers must be at least 14 years of age or a freshman in high school. Although these members cannot respond to 911 calls, they participate in all meetings, training sessions and community events.
Residents of all local towns are welcome to join.
